graphics card prices are so fucked right now. i'm sitting with a perfectly mid system with a 3070 and all of my upgrade paths basically require me to sell each of my testicles for $750 each just to afford a 5080. fuck trump.

Yes, too true. They make the web so much more complicated. Same with NAT, just give every device in home an IPv6

Honestly, it's beyond me why people aren't up in arms, charging the ramparts! We need a revolution to free ourselves from the chains of SSL certificates. If anyone has a plan on how to make this happen, count me in!

Why do Lenovo ThinkPad E and T series consistently come with such poor screens, all maxing out at just 300 nits? They're essentially the go-to choice for quality laptops with an Ethernet port. If only they had included a better display, these laptops would be excellent.

Can anyone recommend a portable speaker that doesn't have voice control and can be used without a google home setup? It should just plug in or connect via standard bluetooth.

If the Mimblewimble system (including grin) isn't suitable, then Monero appears to be the only alternative. However, the mathematical theory behind Monery is so convoluted that there's definitely room for a better solution to emerge.

Briefly looked into it. Seems like every transaction needs participation from sender and receiver. This means you cannot post a public address people can send to independently. This is problematic.

Scary situation. I believe they attempts to gain control of access to www by controlling browsers. Another gatekeeper if you will. Especially since browsers could block targeted sites and eavesdrop on anything filled in forms, such as passwords and post content.

Some websites refuse to run on alternative web browsers. I notice this when it comes to the corporate world. I'm sure it will continue to "break the web" long into the future. I notice how many companies only want consumers, employees and clients using the mainstream big tech web browsers. What I do to get around it is I have a seperate isolated computer just for legit buisness and email. I do everything else on my other computer which I do not associate myself with on any personal level. This offers me better privacy as well.
