Dante's Inferno is the first part of Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem The Divine Comedy. It describes the journey of Dante through Hell, guided by the Roman poet Virgil. Hell is depicted as nine concentric circles, each representing a different sin and its corresponding punishment. In this version of the inferno, the deeper you go, the more is allowed. At the Ninth's Circle there are no moderation.

First Circle (Limbo) – The unbaptized and virtuous pagans live here, like Homer and Socrates. They are not punished but are denied Heaven.
