I would imagine there has got to be something out there in the infinite vaccuum of the universe, as I am one who believes the universe may not be finite. The question is, how far away? Are there other advanced human civilizations? Or are these some form of distant alien life we could not communicate with, let alone fathom? Maybe there is another Earth far far away occupying another period of spacetime we ourselves have yet to live through? Possibilities are hard to imagine and I doubt we'll ever be able to find out.

I use space engine whenever i want new wallpapers, thankfully i got the free version before vladimir decided to remove it so i can create as many wallpaper images i want. It is true, however, that the paid version has MUCH better looking stuff, blackholes look AMAZING there, i reccomend you buy it if you're interested

testing a post, but since i'm here i might as well add that i think space is really beautiful (until i start thinking about how insignificant we all are compared to it)
my wallpapers are all space images :)

Well maybe our brains can only comprehend something that is finite, yet the universe itself is infinite and so is time and space, so our human minds cannot possibly comprehend everything is constant, never beggining never ending.

Definitely very interesting, but I keep coming back to how this infinite repeting universe happened in the first place cf. depvana.com/post/2047

How can we even exist under this contradiction?

Well the theory behind blackholes are they are almost infinitely dense and nothing can escape the event horizon without being crushed and incinerated... what if there is infinite density behind a blackhole though? And what if the whole universe never ends, as an infinite vacuum of space? We would have points of infinite density inside the infinitely large vacuum of space: creation and destruction. And if this infinite theory were actually true, then it stands to reason moments such as this have always been happening, there is nothing new under the sun, this will happen over and over again, even this very conversation could be an indefinite repeat. The moment you read this, this moment could have always happened and will continue to over an infinite, or perhaps looped, timeline. A timeline we humans cannot comprehend possibly, trillions upon trillions of years ad neausum. Nothing new under the sun. Honestly I hope this isn't true, it could, for some, resemble hell.

Hmm this is a serious mind bender. What do you mean by infinite big/small and infinite density/vacuum?

I have a theory, while this theory may sound insane keep in mind the universe and world we live in is equally insane..... What if there is no singularity at all? What if there is infinite big and small? What if CERN can never trully break down matter just like NASA can never find the edge of the universe or what really happens inside a blackhole? What if there is infinite density that can stop time or infinite vacuume that make whole galaxies resemble colonies of bacteria growing and dying by our measure in split seconds? What if there is no end? What if this has all happened before infinitely and everything continues repeating over and over?

I'd definitely be keen to figure out what, if anything, came beforehand. It's definitly going to require alot of research and theory development.

I'm still extremely fascinated by the fact that there were people smart enough to predict certain things (think Einstein or Hawking) before they were even proven as fact.

Yeah, I too really hope warp drive works out. That would be one of the more exiting things to have happened in a long time.

I am not totally familiar with the multiverse. What does the theory say. Are there an infinite amount of multiverses or a finite amount. This I think is an important distinction.

What is the consensus on a timeline. Did all the multiverse start at the same time?

Even if subscribing to the idea, could you not view the multiverses as one universe consisting of multiverses? That still begs the question, what came before?

What about the multiverse? Hypothetically if that does exist then we could've come from somewhere else, but that'll still leave us with quite the conundrum of unanswered questions.

Me personally I'd like to see what this new warp drive talk has been about. I've read that scientists somewhere we're planning to make a 'mock' drive for proof of concept purposes as it's feasible and totally within reach. As for actually using it for the intended purposes (bending space to travel), I don't think they've figured that out yet.

Are humans even capable of comprehending that?

Assume you knew, then you find yourself at the same question again. What came before that which came before the big bang?

We are left with two possibilities. Either something came from absolutely nothing or we exist in an infinite sequence of something. Both of which we cannot really comprehend.
